Who says you need to travel to Las Vegas for a luxury casino resort experience? Just 45 minutes west of Denver, Monarch Casino Resort Spa’s Vegas-style amenities with a distinctly Colorado backdrop have earned the nomination of “Best Casino Resort: Outside Las Vegas” in Newsweek's 2027 Readers' Choice Awards. Public voting for the contest opened Wednesday.
While some of Monarch’s amenities are similar to those offered on the Strip, Monarch’s guests receive a more intimate getaway surrounded by panoramic scenery and fresh Colorado mountain air. The resort features 516 luxury hotel rooms and suites across 23 floors, catering to guests seeking everything from a weekend escape to a more indulgent resort experience.
When it comes to dining, the Monarch Chophouse delivers an upscale steakhouse experience with premium cuts, seafood, and craft cocktails. No detail is too small or overlooked. The Buffet delivers a Las Vegas-inspired dining experience with live-action cooking stations, prime rib, seafood, international cuisine, and made-to-order specialties. Bistro Mariposa shines with its bold Latin-inspired cuisine, while Twenty-Four 7 keeps guests satisfied around the clock with American classics and Asian-inspired dishes.
Relaxation and rejuvenation are unparalleled at Spa Monarch. The reigning No. 1 Best Hotel Spa in the nation in USA TODAY's 2026 10Best Readers' Choice Awards sits atop Monarch’s 23rd-floor hotel tower, offering immersive wellness experiences, specialty treatments, and access to an indoor infinity pool overlooking the surrounding mountains.
Beyond the restaurants and spa, Monarch features a 60,000-square-foot, smoke-free indoor casino with electronic gaming machines, no-limit table games, and a state-of-the-art sportsbook, bringing the gaming experience together with the amenities of a full-service luxury resort.
