Monarch Casino Resort Spa is proud to announce Chief Operating Officer David-Jacques Farahi has been honored by the Denver Business Journal as one of their 40 Under 40 young business leaders for 2020. In addition to his role at Monarch Casino Resort Spa, Farahi is the president of the Colorado Gaming Association, a role he’s held for three terms.
“We are incredibly honored and proud Mr. Farahi has been chosen for this award. He has worked tirelessly throughout his career to distinguish himself as leader in the office and our community,” said Craig Pleva, General Manager of Monarch Casino Resort Spa.
Farahi was a strong proponent in the passage of Proposition DD legalizing sports betting in Colorado, which will help raise funds for much-needed statewide water management projects.
Farahi climbed his way up the ranks of the gaming industry, working in everything from hospitality & housekeeping, eventually being promoted to slot director, before becoming COO of Monarch Casino Resort Spa.
In addition to his gaming industry background, Farahi is active in the community through his volunteer work with JEWISHcolorado. The charitable organization strives to live its values through charitable giving, mobilization of the community in times of need, care for those in the community who are vulnerable and passing values on from generation to generation.
Monarch Casino Resort Spa is also a proud sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s Champions of Hope Gala and Farahi is a member of CEO’s Against Cancer chapter. Farahi’s personal goal is to keep Monarch Casino Resort Spa engaged and active in the community.
